This hike starts at Rancho Sierra Vista/Satwiwa and then ascends into the Old Boney Mountain Wilderness in Point Mugu State Park. We will hike the the Danielson Cabin Site and back down through Satwiwa Native American Indian Natural Area.

Distance Approx: 6 miles
Approximate hiking time: 3 hrs
Difficulty: Moderate

The Waze App is a great way to manage driving time and traffic conditions.

Remember to bring:

1-2 liters of water, snacks, sunscreen, sun hat and/or parasol, athletic shoes with lug soles or hiking boots, personal medications, handful of toilet tissue, small plastic sack for garbage, and sunglasses.

Optional safety items may include: an umbrella (for shade), hand sanitizer, pepper spray, whistle, compass, first aid kit, camera, trekking pole/s, pen/pencil and paper.

Hiking will begin promptly at the scheduled time. Anyone arriving late will be considered a "no-show", so be a little early.
