Come on gals. Let's spend the night amongst the epic boulders of Joshua Tree National Park. We will see the mindblowing desert sunset and, if you are a smart early bird, we will also see the unbelievable desert sunrise. We will be camping under desert sky that is rated by Backpacker Magazine as the best for star watching because of the lack of light pollution. So much heaven! Let's do this!
We will meet at the trailhead in Joshua Tree National Park at 10:00 am, which should give all city dwellers plenty of time to get to JT even if you leave from Los Angeles the same morning. It will be a short one-mile hike to our wilderness camp.
There will be no bathrooms and no running water. BYO EVERYTHING! But it is just one night, so that is easy. Stop by Ralphs deli on the way and spit-spat, it is done!
This is a short little one nighter that will pack a punch with beautiful desert camping and, obviously, lots of laughs. Come one, come all! Only one rule (well two): No boys allowed, and no kids unless you are extremely cool with parenting while the rest of us have fun and possibly say a swear word or two if we step on a cactus. (P.S. Please don't bring kids.)
This is a leaderless adventure and just for fun. Nobody is in charge except for the organization of the logistics which has been planned out by Angeline. (Me!) If you have never been backpacking before and would like some instruction, please contact Angeline at email@example.com and I will give you a Beginner Backpacking Course for $75 that will include:" Wild Women Hiking Fast & Dirty (just like you) Guide To Backpacking", personal consultation about gear, dehydrated dinner, a backpacking stove, and a hand-in-hand experience while hiking to and from our camping spot. Plus, let's be honest, I'll probably even lend you some of my gear (backpack, sleeping bag) if it is still available by the time you book. Let me know.
Ok. So that's it!
