Hiking and yoga go together like peas and carrots, like wine and cheese, like foot massages and longer foot massages. Hiking yoga is a unique way to mindfully connect your body to the earth while experiencing one of the most beautiful trails in the Los Angeles area.
We will hike through Topanga State Park where the Chumash natives thrived for thousands of years. We will summit the mountain at a prehistoric shamanic site called Eagle Rock where you will salute the sun, mountains and the Pacific Ocean. If you love hiking, you will see some of the finest landscape Los Angeles has to offer. If you love yoga, you will feel the power of the mountain in your practice atop the energetic vortex that is Topanga.
Approx. 2 1/2 hours: 1 1/2 hrs hiking, 1/2 hr yoga, and time to explore the shaman cave & photograph Eagle Rock. The hike is 4 miles round-trip (2 uphill, 2 downhill). Moderately challenging. ATHLETIC SHOES ARE REQUIRED. Ground cloth will be provided. Bring a yoga mat or let me know if you need one. Snack & water provided. Signing Liability Waiver required.
